What we look for in a front-end developer?
Front-end developer is a vital part of an eCommerce project! As a Woolman's front-end developer you build modern, functional and selling online stores for our customers. Designing and customizing online store themes is in the core of your daily work.
We are looking for a front-end developer...
- who already has at least three years of experience in eCommerce design and development projects
- who is fluent in designing the interfaces and prototypes with tools like Sketch or XD and you are able to implement them as well.
- who is able to create tools and projects using NodeJS based modules.
- who is skilled in UX.
- ... and knows how to take search engines into consideration when building web pages.
We work with Shopify and we help merchants to grow their businesses. Experience with Shopify online stores is a definite plus.
The developer we're looking for is well aware of web development's modern tools and processes: you know what a successful online store consists of and you want to help our customers succeed! You know what you're capable of, you trust your own skills and you're ready to speak it out loud if there's something that can be done better and more efficiently.

The front-end developer joins one of Woolman’s online store project teams. At Woolman we have different teams for different sized projects. The project teams usually consist of project manager, back-end and front-end developers. There’s often many projects going on at the same time so it is important to be able to switch focus on a daily basis. What else?
- You take part in both pre-sales and customer projects.
- You're comfortable discussing with customers and help them achieve their goals with the help of your design and UX knowledge.
- You must be able to communicate with customers and team members in English, written and verbal. Swedish skills are a definite plus.

We work in teams but that doesn't mean we don't get together outside our teams! We gather up together on Woolman Days which are company-wide get-togethers. We come together, learn from our work, projects and about each other – of course during the last year or so we've been forced to arrange these events remotely. But we've taken the advantage of different remote working tools such as Howspace and Zoom.
